Overview

OC04 is a high-voltage relay output control module able to connect xCHIPS to mains power. It features an input for an external push-button as well as 12V lamp/LED output for push buttons with lights. Both button and light are programmable via the built-in PCA9554A I/O expander. Load switching uses a BT137S-600E Triac in combination with supporting circuitry to switch high power mains AC loads.

The on-board MP103 provides an easy ACDC solution for less than 1 W applications. It is an off-line linear regulator that delivers good efficiency while generating little EMI noise. The MP103 enables the overall system to meet standby power requirements. MP103 offers rich protection, such as Thermal Shutdown (TSD), Over Temperature Protection (OTP), Over Load Protection (OLP), Short Circuit Protection (SCP).

The integrated TPS561201 is a 1 A synchronous step-down converter. The device is optimized to achieve low standby current. These switch mode power supply (SMPS) devices employ D-CAP2 mode control providing a fast transient response. The TPS561201 operates in pulse skip mode, which maintains high efficiency during light load operation.
